Truther Match
Safety and Community Standards
Use the controls below when an interaction feels wrong. Safety tools and content checks help, but no online service can guarantee another person's identity or conduct.
Understand what a profile does and does not prove
The service is intended for adults aged 18 and older. Visitors confirm their age before entering the app, and members need a photo to use matching features. Neither a self-declared age nor a required photo alone verifies a person's identity.
Treat profile details and claims as information supplied by another person, not as facts the service has independently checked. Take time to get to know someone before moving a conversation off the app.
Choose what you share
Review your profile and photos before saving them. Avoid posting a home address, passwords, financial details, or anything you would not want another member to see. Profile settings let you edit your information and hide your profile from the main Discover feed and ranked Browse list.
Hiding your profile does not retract messages or details already shared with someone. To separate from a particular account, use Block rather than relying on the visibility switch alone.
Report a concerning account
Open the member's profile or an existing match, choose the three-dot menu, and select Report. Pick the reason that best fits—such as harassment, a fake profile, inappropriate content, a scam, or an underage user—and add an optional note explaining what happened.
Submitting a report records the concern for follow-up. It does not immediately remove the other account or prevent contact. If you also want separation, use Block; if you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for an in-app response.
Block versus unmatch
Block is available from the same three-dot menu. When it succeeds, any existing match is removed and the two accounts are excluded from each other's ranked Browse list and Explore search results. The app does not offer an undo button for blocking.
Unmatch is available when you already have a match. It ends the match, but it is not the same as blocking the account. Use Block if you need separation in matching and chat; contact support if you still see the account or receive unwanted contact.
Community rules and content checks
Members are expected to respect boundaries and privacy. Harassment, threats, impersonation, explicit pornography, illegal content, and scams are prohibited by the community rules.
Some submissions, including bios, uploaded media, messages, and posts, are checked for prohibited content and may be rejected. These checks are imperfect; they do not verify identities or guarantee that every harmful interaction will be caught. Reports give members another way to flag a concern.
Read the Community Guidelines
If you decide to meet in person
Choose a public place, arrange your own transport, and tell someone you trust where you plan to be. Do not send money, gift cards, or financial account details to someone you have met only online.
You can end a conversation or leave a meeting whenever you feel uncomfortable. In an emergency, seek help from local emergency services. In-app reporting is not an emergency response channel.
Privacy, support, and account controls
For information about personal data, privacy requests, and account deletion, read the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account from profile settings, but deletion is permanent and different from hiding your profile.
For account help or a safety concern that is not an emergency, email Truther Match support. Do not include passwords or payment details in a support message.
