Truther Match Community Guidelines

Learn about the standards for participating in the Truther Match community.

Last Updated: 10/01/2026

1. Purpose

Truther Match is designed to be a safe, respectful, and authentic space where users can connect based on shared interests, values, and lifestyle preferences.

These Community Guidelines define acceptable behavior and content standards to help ensure a positive, secure, and trustworthy experience for all users.

2. Respect and Safety

You are expected to:

•Treat all users with respect and courtesy
•Communicate without harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation
•Respect personal boundaries, consent, and privacy

Violations may result in:

•Content removal
•Temporary suspension
•Permanent account termination

3. Authenticity

To maintain a genuine community:

•Provide accurate and truthful profile information
•Do not impersonate others or create fake accounts

Identity verification:

•Is optional and user-controlled
•Review records are stored in our application database; uploaded verification media uses our configured file storage
•Used only to enhance trust and safety

Optional identity verification is separate from the email confirmation required for new email-and-password accounts. Keep email confirmation links private.

4. Prohibited Content

You may NOT post, share, or promote:

•Hate speech, discrimination, or offensive content
•Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior
•Explicit pornography or sexually explicit content outside permitted private interactions
•Illegal, harmful, or dangerous content
•Financial scams, spam, or deceptive or misleading claims

All content must comply with applicable laws and platform policies.

5. Media & User-Generated Content

All photos, videos, messages, and profile content must follow these guidelines.

By posting content, you grant Truther Match a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and operate the Service.

We reserve the right to:

•Review, moderate, and remove content
•Restrict or disable accounts that violate guidelines

Media and data handling:

•Content records are stored in PostgreSQL; uploaded media uses Firebase Storage when configured, with server-local storage as a fallback
•Identity verification and location data are optional and controlled by the user

6. Reporting & Moderation

We provide tools to help keep the community safe:

•Report and block features are available within the app
•Flagged content is reviewed and may be removed

While we actively moderate content, we are not responsible for user behavior outside the platform.

7. Privacy & Data Safety

We prioritize user privacy and data protection:

•Account and profile records are stored in PostgreSQL; Firebase supports media storage and push notifications when configured
•Encryption is applied in transit and at rest
•Personal data is used only for core functionality, safety, and moderation

Verified email addresses may receive a new-match notification with the other member's first name and a link to the match. The notification does not reveal either member's email address to the other. See our Privacy Policy for details about email delivery.

For full details, please review our Privacy Policy.

8. Community Responsibilities

As a member of Truther Match, you agree to:

•Help maintain a safe and respectful environment
•Avoid sharing another user's personal information without consent
•Use the platform responsibly and in good faith
•Comply with all applicable laws and platform policies

9. Enforcement & Consequences

Violations of these Guidelines may result in:

•Removal of content
•Temporary account suspension
•Permanent account termination

In serious cases, we may:

•Restrict access immediately
•Report violations to law enforcement where required

10. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines to reflect new features, safety practices, or legal requirements.

Updates will be posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates.
